Travel Grant Application

COMSEP 2025 Travel Grant Opportunity for the 2025 Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, IN, April 2-5, 2025.

Please review the eligibility criteria and submit your application below to be eligible for a COMSEP 2025 Travel Grant.

Deadline: Friday, February 14, 2025 at 5pm eastern

Applications will be reviewed, then based on funding and the number of applications submitted, COMSEP will notify all applicants of awards.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Enrollment and Academic Standing:
   • Must be currently enrolled as a medical student at an accredited institution.
   • Must upload letter of good standing from your institution’s registrar.
2. Presenting Author and Abstract Submission:
   • Must be an author of an accepted abstract to the COMSEP 2025 Annual Meeting.

Uploads

1. Submission of a one-page statement which includes:
   • Statement of Benefit and Purpose: Please provide a statement explaining how attending the conference will benefit your education or career and how it aligns with your career goals and academic interests. (Max 500 words);
   • Budget: provide an estimated breakdown of anticipated expenses (airfare, hotel, transportation, etc.);
   • Contribution to Diversity: Please demonstrate how you contribute to diversity in your profession (e.g., URiM, first-generation student). (Max 300 words)
2. Letter of Good Standing from Institution:
   • Upload a letter of good standing from the registrar/student affairs office.
3. Letter of Support from COMSEP member:
   • Please upload a letter of support from a mentor, who is a COMSEP member and who will accompany you to the meeting.
4. CV/Resume:
   • Please upload your current CV or resume showcasing your academic achievements, relevant experiences, and professional activities.
