On Tuesday, April 21, the APA and COMSEP jointly sponsored a webinar to discuss the numerous challenges for medical educators that COVID-19 has presented entitled: The Coronavirus Transformation: Appreciating a Holistic Approach to Medical Student Education. 1. Share innovative ways of creating and implementing curricula using virtual platforms
2. Discuss barriers to ways of assessing clinical skills and potential ways to design assessment using online learning platforms
3. Review current AAMC and LCME guidelines and their applicability to virtual clerkships and re-entry of students into the clinical environment
4. Describe the difficulties in the residency application and selection process and discuss possible solutions
5. Share wellness frameworks integrated into learning and assessment to help connect faculty and students during the pandemic and beyond
