list-servs of interest to medical educators:

What is a list-serv? A list-serv allows groups of people interested in the same topic to discuss topics via e-mail. Those in the list-serv receive notification of all posts to the list -serv can respond. You must sign up for a list-serve and can request to be removed.

The COMSEP listserv is a moderated mailing list of all of the COMSEP members. To use the mailing list to reach the membership, send an e-mail to The message will be reviewed by the moderator and posted to the listserv if appropriate. (Commercial products and conference announcements, other than that developed by the membership of COMSEP will not be accepted.) The listserv will accept most attachments. If you feel the replies to your message should go the writer and not to the entire membership, please state in the message to address your reply to the author and not the listserv.

DR-ED is an electronic discussion group for medical educators run by Michigan State University. DR-ED is open to anyone involved in medical education.

PEDINFO is a discussion group on pediatric medical informatics hosted by Yahoo.

The MED-ED listserve is for developers and users of medical education software in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education. Discussion focuses on courseware, authoring tools, evaluation criteria and methods, and other infrastructure and technical issues.
