American
Academy of Pediatrics
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and its member pediatricians dedicate
their efforts and resources to the health, safety and well-being of infants, children,
adolescents and young adults. The AAP has approximately 55,000 members in the
United States, Canada and Latin America. Members include pediatricians, pediatric
medical subspecialists and pediatric surgical specialists. More than 34,000 members
are board-certified and called Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).

The
Association of American Medical Colleges
The Association of American Medical Colleges is a non-profit
association founded in 1876 to work for reform in medical education.
Originally representing only medical schools, the Association
now comprises the 125 accredited U.S. medical schools, the 16
accredited Canadian medical schools, 400 major teaching hospitals
and health systems, 90 academic and professional societies representing
nearly 100,000 faculty members, and the nation's medical students
and residents. Additionally, the administrative leadership of
medical schools and teaching hospitals are served by a variety
of professional
development groups housed within the AAMC. |

The Canadian Paediatric Society is a national advocacy association committed
to the health needs of children and youth. |

The American
Board of Pediatrics
The American Board of Pediatrics was created to advance the science, study, and
practice of pediatrics by evaluating the credentials of physicians applying for
certification as pediatricians, by examining applicants, and by certifying those
who qualify. |

The Association
of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD)
The Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD) was formed to support and
enhance graduate medical education in the specialty of pediatrics and to promote
dialogue among Association members. |

Triple Board Residency Program
The Triple Board program trains residents to become board eligible
in Pediatrics, General Psychiatry, and Child Psychiatry. The
national site is a collective effort among all 10 accredited
Triple Board programs. |
